THE MEMBERS SPEAK OUT...
JOJO MARENGO The truth based on facts not false allegations
In October 31st 2008, the Marengo family started World Art Foundation (WAF) in Orange County California. the Marengo's are residents of Orange County California since1970 where they publish 21 luxury magazines under the name of Umbrella publishing.

In January 31 2009, Umbrella Publishing launched the World Art Foundation website to the public and announced that in June 7-9, 2009 WAF Expo 09 will take place in Brea California.

On February 1st 2009 World Art Foundation started sites on Facebook and My Space. By March 2009 a month later, over 3,000 artists from all over the world joined World Art Foundation (WAF) sites.

In March World Art Foundation finalized the legal documents and applications as a non profit organization LLC as a service organization to help artists find galleries and agents to promote their work. The documents are presently with the California Secretary of State.

A man living in South Africa, started a negative campaign posting false allegations on Brajane's blog (a woman who lives in Belgium and who has a blog on Indian news). This man made many false allegations. Some of the allegations stated that Jojo Marengo and his expo is a scam and that there is no Brea city in California, that there is no Umbrella publications and that the expo is a ploy to scam artists. Also allegations that the Brea Gallery is against WAF and on and on. The attention the South African drew a copy cat blogger from Manchester UK and together continued The attacks until April 2010. All the negative blogs are the work of these 3 people.

On April 10th 2009 WAF opened a 5,100 square feet Gallery in 1555 E Imperial Hwy in the Brea Plaza in the city of Brea. Soon after the negative attacks stopped.

Although the attacks stopped, all blogs got posted on search engines like Google. Unfortunately these posting will always be there as they cannot be removed.

Of course The World Expo 09 took place as scheduled in June 7-9 2009 in Brea, Fullerton and Laguna Beach California, with the participation of over 400 artists from 53 countries in 5 continents. World Expo 09 became the largest expo of this genre ever held in Califonia.

The Mayor of Fullerton issued a proclamation in the name of the city council and the citizens of Fullerton welcoming World Art Foundation to Fullerton. copy of the proclamation on http://worldartfoundation.org/Expo_09.html

A city councilwoman form Laguna Beach represented her city at a World Art Foundation preview dinner at Brea's La Vie En Rose restaurant A fund raiser has held in June 6th at the Miranda Gallery in Laguna Beach to benefit the World Art Foundation sponsor's fund.

World art foundation sponsored all but one of the over 400 artists by paying the $500 for each for the artists' exhibiting fee. Never such generosity was ever extended by a country's cultural ministry or non profit organization for a single event. Actually besides the shipping expense, the artists did not have to pay to exhibit at the world art expo 09 in California.

The Brea Gallery received thousands of emails and calls asking for the location of the World Art Foundations gallery in Brea. They posted on their site a caption asking them to go to our website. During the expo educational functions by the World Art Foundations took place a the Fullerton Museum

World Art Foundation, presently with over 50,000 artists members in their cyber groups, is considered the world's largest art organization. WAF continues to grow daily. In 2010 Expos are planed in many countries and many states in the US.

Dear Antoine,
First I want to express my sincere thanks to you and Jojo, and most importantly the organization you have created it.  It is truly a dream come true for me being an artist for over 40 years but have never been with an organization that is so professional and yet truly kind hearted with the intention of wanting to help the artists.  It is your kindness in creating and forming this awesome organization for all of us to come together as one strong force and it is also a great place for all gallery owners to come together and see all the new artwork collectively from one show.

From my experience dealing with other organizations and now yours, there is no doubt in my mind there are a lot of planning to organize such a tour and I want to thank you for the invitation.  Definitely I will look forward to meeting you, and Jojo plus the incredible people you have with you behind this organization.  I enjoy the quickness in respond each time I send out an email and the willingness to help artist like myself with the best representation.  All of our fellow artists have been waiting a long time for such organization and now it is no longer a dream but a reality that such organization exist thanks to your team, which is the vision you and your father had when starting the World Art Foundation.

I wish you lots of future success and we look forward to being a part of the tour in September, 2009.  Please send my best to your father Jojo and I look forward meeting him soon.

Greg Coffelt sets the record straight

Hello WAF Members
Someone has fabricated E-Mails using the name of one of our members Greg Coffelt and circulating them through facebook. Greg sent this email to set the record straight.

Someone named Adam Reeder contacted me through my own personal  website several weeks ago  and asked me about WAF. I  told him that all my experiences were positive. I told him that I was signed with an agent during the EXPO. Then yesterday he e-mailed me and told me that he was holding me liable for being associated with you. I told him to take a hike. He E-mailed me about 10 times yesterday. He has fabricated E-mails and lies about me because I would not spread all his lies. He has e-mailed me about 5 times today... I have been working 7 days a week and long hours every day to complete my sculpture. Please do not involve me any further with this as I do not have the time to deal with idiots like Adam Reeder.

Pretty faces and promising careers tend to flash across our local firmament with the frequency of the shooting star_ and with about as much effect. But for less than one year the most consequential art organization ever formed has been the advent of the World Art Foundation under the leadership of Antoine and Jojo Marengo. With the assistance and inspiration of Michael Cheval one of the most important artist of this generation, the foundation has skyrocketed into a 40,000 member organization in over 50 countries in 5 continents

This first Expo was a good experience. I was given an honorable mention in the Master Artist category and that was very nice to receive, considering the level of artwork that was at the World Art Expo. I also learned a lot about other cultures and how other artists live and work from all over the world. It was great to see things from an artist's point of view from the other side of the world. That was very exciting as an American artist!

Now that WAF Expo 09 is no longer a vision but reality, Jojo Marengo the maverick founder of the WAF and his son Antoine who almost single handedly reinvented the way the art industry operates by forming the ten fundamental principals of actions of the World Art Foundation. The careers of the artists in the coming generations will owe a lot of their success to WAF.

World Art Foundation is truly remarkable - accomplishing so much is such a short time. Finally a place where artists are recognized and protected In fact when the history of the arts in the 21st century is definitively written, It’s possible that the record will show that Jojo and Antoine had the biggest impact on the largest number of artists lives and careers. Among living artists, this record of art achievement can be compared only to the art movement of the turn of the 20th century

Dear WAF Members,
WAF now is a real being. It's more than the sum of its members. It has life of its own and a flowing energy -common to all that exists- that permeated, and is permeating all of us who attended WAF09.

I'm very pleased and excited to be part of it. I'm a cell of it; and with the natural process of synergy I'm now part of the continuous change and evolving of this process. I want to make evident that we will no longer be the same after WAF09.

With our thoughts, actions, efforts and, above all, DREAMS, we are making WAF a powerful and successful being all over the world for the enhancement of Art and the Artists.

Art IS the future. Always has been this way. Since the paintings on the caves Art has been a magic invocation. The Neanderthals -the anthropologists believe- didn't have imagination, and that's why they disappeared. The Homo Sapiens, to the contrary, have used their mind to envision a future.

We now know with the recent advances in quantum physics that the mind is all that exists and that we are REALLY the universe contemplating Itself! Changing itself forever in this endless process of being the Observer who observes itself!

With this -literally- in Mind, I want to put in words the outstanding importance of our group, of our attendance to the exhibits: We all affect our mutual lives with our presence. We all are affected by the presence of others. And not only our presence, but our creations. Our particular codification of reality and the future.

Each one of us is a point of view, a Sacred Center of all that exists. We are Gods manifesting exuberant realities. Every human being is this awesome Truth and with art and their creators, players, performers, mediums, we are the most powerful beings in this Cosmical Game. We are manifesting forms that affect all and every single being that is capable to observe. We are sending messages, we are creating realities that by now are in canvas or metal or glass or stone...buy eventually will be the pulling forces of all
the humanity.

Art pulls the humanity towards a future. The future of humanity will be as the future envisioned by the artists that live NOW. We are responsible for this. Ours is a Sacred Job. We are the Magicians. With our interactions; with the interaction between the Magicians, we are creating a huge and powerful universe, an immense field of energy that is
right now creating or channeling visions to our minds and hearts, nurturing us.

I feel this in the point of my fingers, in my dreams, in my heart! I returned from California full of an immense creative and driving force that impels me to create -in an exponential way- than before meeting all my fellow artists (Magicians). I have an exploding Sun inside my soul! This is the law of the interactions, or maybe The Miracle of being together.

Thank you, WAF. Thank you, fellow DREAMERS and MAGICIANS.

My overall impression of the World Art Expo was very favorable. Free expression is the basis of artists' values and principles. To meet and talk with so many talented artists at the Expo made me feel very nourished and inspired. I was very touched by Michael Cheval and found him genuinely sweet and beautiful. There was a lot of talent at the Expo and we artists have many blessings. I'm thankful for the opportunity and I learned that there's beauty hidden everywhere.

When I arrived at the World Art Expo, there was a warm welcome from everybody. I could feel high flying dreams and had absolutely lovely conversations with people I had previously met via the internet.

Overall, it was a very charming and refreshing experience. While nothing is perfect, communication and shared dreams are everything. One of the highlights was meeting wonderful people from different countries, continents and backgrounds. And there was wonderful, wonderful art.

In the future, I just want to create with a big smile, and be a part of the World Art Foundation exhibitions. It's necessary to exchange experiences and learn from each other, I want to stay in contact with World Art Foundation members.

I had a great time throughout the World Art Expo. I met many wonderful people and it was a very nice experience. I'm starting a partnership with a gallery in Las Vegas and that was very positive. Meeting new people from different cultures was very interesting and I believe that art is a universal language.

The World Art Foundation will continue to grow with patience, communication and lots of hard work and I want to be part of it!

The World Art Expo was a remarkable success story. I believe it's important for artists to grow and develop, to maintain friendships and to exchange ideas. I congratulate Jojo, Antoine and all committee members who worked diligently on the Expo, from planning the meetings, exhibition areas, dinners and art get-togethers.

Everything about the Expo was positive. The highlight of the World Art Expo for me was receiving my Third Place Award for being an Emerging Artist. I want to continue to be part of the future of the World Art Foundation and I have donated two paintings to the Museum.

WAF gallery officially opened on Friday, April 10 with a professional art event that had the entire sumptuousness deserved by such an occasion. The paintings shown were sent by artists from around the world and the opening was a success! I can tell you, since I was there.

I spent the last week in California and had the opportunity to personally meet the founders of WAF. I would like to share some impressions.

First of all, I would like to express my gratitude towards the Marengo family (Jojo, Antoine, Sophie, Kall, and Meriam) for their extraordinary hospitality! I feel honored and privileged to have met such a wonderful family. The dedication of Jojo and Antoine -- the engine of WAF, as well as of all those involved and supporting WAF is absolutely amazing! Now I could better sense the goal of this REVOLUTIONARY concept for the art community that WAF is developing; it is really the first organization to implement the idea of creating a network of artists from around the world, giving them the possibility to connect with each other as well as creating the opportunity for an authentic exposure by connecting with galleries, curators, and so on. Through the beautiful new WAF gallery, artists from around the world have the unique opportunity to be represented in a professional way in California for now and in many other places around the world in the future. I can only congratulate and thank Jojo, Antoine, and all WAF members for this achievement! Nevertheless, it is each one of us who will make this organization unique and successful, as everything inside the group is -- and should be -- about friendship, group work, and creation. I did and will do my best to be part of this art community.

While in California, I was introduced to many sponsors behind WAF: Wayne, Wad, Marc, Joe….. all of them with a very powerful financial background but most importantly, all with an open heart and ready to help ART without any specific interest for rewards. Thanks to Jojo, I was also introduced to the owner of a major art gallery in Laguna Beach (present at the opening) and who offered me to exhibit in his gallery and took 11 of my paintings. Most importantly, I got a new friend and agent to represent me and my work from now on.

So, for you my fellow artists who know what it means to have someone professional representing your work, my experience with WAF and this new approach for promoting art and artists was unique, giving artists the freedom to invest energy in creating art, not in marketing. I end by thanking again Jojo, Antoine, and all the others who put such a hard work in creating this new organization for the world’s artists!

Thank you for your warm hospitality and the privilege to be part of the presentation evenings. I am very impressed with the quality and scope of the event. I am also grateful for the opportunity to meet with many wonderful people - artists, journalists, sponsors and curators. It was pleasure to meet Jojo Marengo and his son Antoine, HB Gallery owner Peggy Howell and the team of her gallery, brilliant artists Torreen West, Adam Scott Rote, Tristan Schane, Fernanda Natale-Reynolds, Norman Deesing and many others.
I was pleased to see the results of the WAF team and the Marengo family. Since I was in California three months ago, much had been done and the project ceased to be just a vision- it became a reality. I am vey impressed with the exhibition pavilions where the Expo 09 will take place. I was very impressed by the magnitude and size of the area provided for art exposition. I also visited the home of the future WAF museum. This bright spacious building can become a great museum created by the artists and, eventually, become a unique place to hold future events .

Once again I want to express my gratitude and admiration of the whole WAF team and personally to Mr. Marengo for their courage and dedication. What they’re doing is truly unique. Not surprisingly, there are people who doubt the reality of the WAF exhibitions. The project really is like a fairy tale, it's too good to be true. However, it is the truth and I confirm it. WAF is not a fantasy, these are people working 24 hours a day, an incredibly creative and well educated. People, who love the arts, care about the artists and know how to combine the useful with the pleasant.

I wouldn't worry too much about that small group that is bad mouthing WAF- one of them stooped to using profanity in her writings and at that point they lost any credibility that they might have had for me. As artists I suspect we have all experienced jealous, back stabbing behavior at some point in our careers, and those people usually dig their own graves. I am happy and proud to be part of such an ambitious, globally unifying event.

thnx,

Jojo...No, I don't wonder why you don't fight back to all those so-called "critics", that for me are losers. Period.
No, I wonder why you even think on them!
Don't waste even a bit of energy on your fingers to write about them, about their existence...
For me is clear, (and I think for all those who had accomplished something worthy in life, as I am sure, everyone, member or founder of WAF have did...) the counterpart of creation is destruction, and in this crazy world the shadow, the resentment and the lack of talent is disguised as "critics".

We are walking...thus the dogs are barking!

I want to express my deepest thanks to the generosity of the Marengo family members and the WAF organization for existing and most of all for giving hope and opening new doors in the complex world of Art, especially for new talents like me

As an fast ascending emerging artist, I know how hard it is to climb the ladder towards a dream, specially when not always it’s possible to afford certain fees requested from marvelous Gallerists and innovative Art Directors…. WAF believed in me, believed in my talent, and they provided me with a sponsorship to enable me to exhibit in the U.S. and that is one dream come true to me…  this was the next step in my ladder of dreams…. Thanks to their ambitious initiative that goes beyond frontiers, I have been given the chance to share my art to the world’s eyes.

Thank you with all my heart,

Dear Antoine,
I'd like to thank you, Jojo, your family and Umbrella Publishing for the opportunity to be a part of this exciting event.
I applaud your effort and commitment to World Art Foundation and the artistic community.
As a struggling and dedicated artist living at the bottom of the world (Australia), I've found it is rare to be given an
opportunity like this so I believe in, and look forward to, the success of the World Art Expo.
To me it has already been a success in that it has enabled a network of artists and art lovers to connect and
I'm impressed by what has been achieved already in such a short time. I'm thrilled to be involved and want to offer my
support to help make this idea succeed.

I really appreciate the graciousness, hard work and dedication that you have shown and I'm very grateful for your continuing support.
Trust is crucial to restoring faith in our troubled world and essential to restoring global confidence in trade and security.
Art and the World Art Foundation can be a beacon of hope in a cynical world by showing that trust = hope.
If we don't trust in each other then humanity is doomed. Keep up the great work Antoine and don't let the naysayers get you down.

Kind Regards

Anja Etwal-Nielsen

Here´s a statement/testimonial on the experiences that I´v had so far with World Art Foundation. It´s very important to me to tell from the beginning that this testimonial is written on my own initiative. World Art Foundation has never asked me if I would write something positive about them.

The thought of writing a positive statement about the World Art Foundation came to me after having only had positive experiences with the organisation that simply don´t match what people say about the World Art Foundation in a chat room and  artist web site I came across after having “googled” World Art Foundation.

I was introduced to WAF by a friend on Face Book. I visited their site and decided very quickly to apply for a subscription.

The services they offer – and the artists I´m presented among are just great. It´s an acknowledgement to me to be represented with artists who are obviously great – that it self assures me that it´s a place I want to be. After having applied for a subscription I was contacted by Antoine Marengo just a couple of days after. He has always answered any questions I´v had right away – and had the time to talk to me on the phone if I found it necessary to have my questions answered that way.

It may be the kind of service you should always take for granted, but it´s the first time I´v experienced it from an art organisation!!!

The service – and the opportunity to exhibit at the World Expo 09 is worth mentioning as well. It´s  very difficult to be in the art world. But I think for a new, unknown artist it´s even more difficult to get into the art world as well. So I think it should be seen as an opportunity for getting “out there” with your art instead of talking negatively about it. Because for artist-members of World Art Foundation there´s no participation fee. Which is absolutely incredible since so many exhibition events and galleries charge a huge fee for participation. In Europe as well as the states I´v been offered to participate in exhibitions and art fairs with fees ranging from $1000 - $10.000. That made me doubt whether these organisations and galleries actually liked my art – or my money?

So if anybody want to focus on the negative in the art world, why not go for the kind of organisations and galleries that charge a huge fee for being an “art promoter” for unknown, emerging artists,  instead of those who don´t!

HI Antoine!
I think WAF ıs the nonprofit artists organization that has a chance to make a grate art world. This is the way artists explore their art and can become stronger.
The success of the World Expo 09 in California will make WAF the most important art organization in the world.

In WAF we are sharing art world wide, this is impotent for art and artist. We hope 100% success of WAF and all nonprofit art organization.

I think  WAF team is very busy with their work to make combination. Every good things had some obstacle. So dont worry. All we are with WAF..Carry on.

Hello,

I am a proud member of WAF. I am grateful to the Marengo family members, hardworking organizers of the 2009 exhibit in Orange County, California, who believed in my talent and will give me the opportunity to show my art in their event. The WAF idea is very innovative and permit the exchange of ideas between artists from all corners of the world. Sadly, there are angry and envious people who enjoy trying to destroy other people good work ... But I believe that good thoughts are stronger than negativity. Continue with your excellent work.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

Dear Antoine,

I am very surprised at this story. I received several letters from Mr. De Block Facebbok on and questioning of my artist friends in Europe.
This is detrimental to the reputation and for the Word Art Expo 2009. It would be a serious act that artists are not victims of a misunderstanding or a movement against the hand of this individual. Therefore, I was appointed by artists to represent and I want to participate in the exhibition next June in order to reassure the concerns and fears of artists. Can you give me a hotel where I could live a few days to Brea?

Could we meet Jojo during my stay in order to discuss and visit the exhibition? I advise you to put in place communication service for artists.
Who can not wait to see my paintings and those of other artist friends in your beautiful places of Brea,

Antoine, I am aware of some what shall we call it misunderstandings. Its likely  that it will change once people see that the Expo is taking form and artists  involved are pleased.
I belive short, clear and polite information is the soultion. Keep up the good work and have a good week end,

Dear Jojo,

In this day and age it not often we meet people that actually say what they do and then do what they say! You continually exceed my expectations.

Your commitment, diligence and passion are to be applauded.  You  complete all that you promise and much more!.  Your ‘Best of’ magazines are a very creative venue.  I greatly appreciate your features on my gallery and the many fine artists represented. I have certainly benefited greatly from the well written feature articles and thank you for your continued support.

Your World Art Foundation Project will benefit the artist and those that collect fine art on many levels.  I have no doubt WAF will be a huge success…like all the projects you create, develop, produce and bring to fruition.
Jojo, it is always  a pleasure to work with you and I  look  forward to supporting your efforts in  making the World Art Foundation a program  one which you, the many talented  artists and myself can be equally proud.

Hi Jojo and Antoine,

I really enjoyed meeting with you last week; your efforts in building WAF are very impressive. Your dedication to high principals and the care and treatment of people is evident.

I remember when you started the Art & Fashion Group and changed a whole industry, making all of us feel more positive about oursleves.

I have seen the posts spearheaded by Christian de Bloek; it is rather amusing to think that someone has so little to do that they spend their time trying to discourage others from making the world a better place. Please pray for these people; they have so little happiness and obviously they need someone to care about them. Remember - we had detractors in the beginning of AF&G and eventually they either joined us or went away to bother someone else.

I applaud you for staying focused on WAF and spending your time loving others - including those that mistakingly mock your efforts. You have a great capacity to stay positive and everyone that meets you comes away a better person.

Take care -

I don't know if what i say has any pull with any person but jojo and antoine have already started a controversy in the art world that is as good as it can get.  Every time i have a question they respond and to the point.  Thanks again and looking forward to June at the EXPO

Antoine,
Let me add my voice to those who would stand up for you and the great work you are doing.
You and your staff have been very attentive and responsive to me personally.  And I for one know what the real cost of what it is you're providing and can clearly see the obvious value.
So let's remember the timely and relevant words of Gustave Flaubert, who wrote, "A man is a critic when he cannot be an artist, in the same way that a man becomes an informer when he cannot be a soldier."
While critics have the ability to sting us, the wounds are superficial at best, particularly when they have little or no basis to begin with. The critic's job is too easy. All they need to do is pick up and cast stones. But artists, and those who foster them, are doing the very real and often very hard work of creating, building and presenting works of beauty. I love that you quote Mother Theresa. Let me add the words of the One she followed, "No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit."
Antoine, the fruit doesn't lie, it reveals what kind of tree is bearing it.
Please keep doing what you're doing and pay no attention to those to whom no attention is all that's deserved.
I'm looking forward to having my work represented at the Expo, and expect the same degree of assistance and attention that I have received thus far.

My thanks to you and your staff.

Sincerely,
Richard DeVeau

REPORT OF SHAHLA ROSA a facebook member of Visionary Art

Dear facebook friends and those who are members of WAF,

I\'m writing this letter to assure you all, that, the world Art Fundation \'s plan for WORLD ART EXPO 09 in California is fully clear and correct, according to my visitto the the locations in the city of BREA.

I was invited by Jojo Marengo, to take a tour, of the area on Saturday, Feb/07/09. I accepted with pleasure, we met in Irvine and he drove me to the city of Brea, we visited the Embassy Suites in Brea which was included of the hotel\'s ballroom and meeting rooms. Our tour continued to the Brea Plaza that included WAF headquarters, a former two-story bank , also 4 adjacent buildings with quite large spaces. All these spaces were fully visible by visitors and eye catchers.

The most interestiong fact is, that we DO NOT HAVE TO HANG OUR PAINTINGS IN A BOOT, YET ACTUAL GALLERIES, which I personaly prefer and looks more professional. I never accepted to attend a show if I have to use a boot for my paintings.

The other important fact is, for the first time in the history of ART-EXPO\'s, Jojo trying to create an expanded ART_ EXPO in different locations. There is no doubt that we will have the Expo on June 11th-15th, mostly in the city of Brea and other parts of Orange County as well.

I personaly was very impressed with the effort that Jojo & Antoine put together with this new great Idea, and congratulate them for doing something different as well as revolutionary.

thank you all foryour attention, and see you all @ ART- EXPO 2009 .

Warm regards,
Shahla Rosa

George, it was a pleasure meeting you and your business partners on Monday. I am glad I got a chance to see the facilities you will be using for the Expo in June. It should prove to be a first-rate venue from everything I saw.

Also, I was impressed to see, first handedly, the support you have from the art industry leaders and business leaders within Orange County. You have some high powered connections and I can see that they, and you, have every intention to make this project a huge success. I am thrilled to be part of it!

Keep in touch,

Dear Antoine

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to exhibit my works in California Expo 2009, at no cost and with sponsorship.
I am sure you will have much success in everything, WAF is a big family, their work is selfless and opens the door to many artists who work with love and honesty.

Thanks Andoni for circulating Michael's powerful and a befittiing reply to the 5 unfair opponets to WAF (Christian De Bloek and his ilk) for their unkind, false and unfounded criticism. Your letter at places is very harsh but the bloke deserves it. The five have been spreading rumors and raising all kinds of baseless questions.

I have been getting info from Michael and Marengo and I keep on informing members of my various groups, two of them were: Abstract Art Lovers Group and All Indian Artists in the World Group. Latest being Shayna Bracha Farber. I am very proud of Marengo and all of you for doing yeoman service to the Art community. You all deserve, in fact, highest awards from the Art World. One day you all will be rewarded. I wish I were part of your team.

Wish you good luck.

Dear Jojo

Thanks for the invitations, first at the restaurant the art show at La Vie en Rose and this one the grand opening and press conference.
It would be a pleasure to be with you, for sharing several things about art...etc
Unfortunately, some people like me are very far and we have the opportunity to follow your meetings via your email and photos.
Thanks for all this project which seems to be a so good idea, a lot of work and a great opportunity for artists to let them know....and communicate!

Dear Jojo,

It was such a pleasure meeting you last night and getting to know your wonderfully evocative vision of art as social life and moral authority. Thank you so very much for recognizing Michael's talent and showcasing him in a marvelous venue in which you shine and are so obviously loved and respected.

All my best wishes to you and your son, but also all your colleagues and those you cooperate and work with in your many initiatives.

I thought your master of the ceremonies showed warmth, richness of spirit, exuberance and positive vision, and I look forward to keeping up with you and your activities.

Dear Mr. Marengo,

first of all let me  thank you and your family for all the good you are doing to the World of Art.
In Italy, my home  and the craddle of your ancestors, patronage has been a tradition for centuries and it’s thanks to the help of   enlightened people if  all our country has become a huge museum  of treasures and wonders. Rome, Florence, Venice, wouldn’t  have been the same without them, not to talk of smaller towns like Siena, Ferrara, Mantua,. Even  villages like Sabbioneta or Sangiminiano were signed for ever  by the double noble presence of patrons and artists. Unfortunately things have changed a lot. Most artists are forced to find their way on their own, and, being the path difficult , very often their talent remains hidden in the shade. At least in my country Art is treated like all the other products on the market, Feelings and inspiration are given , alas , a little value. Anyway, I still   hope  that things may  change. Donatello, Caravaggio, Michelangelo wouldn’t have liked a moment like this. On the contrary they for sure would have appreciated  the intuition and  sympathy of special people like you.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello Antoine!
First, I would like to appreciate your generosity towards supporting artist such as me and from all over the world in these times. I may have sounded weak over the period of our conversation, as it is my struggle to just be a part of the WAF & WAE, today. But i must say you gave me the strength and support and that is called a person in the making of something wise for the world. People who go beyond just to be there. I don't know you yet nor have i met you, but since i'm spiritually inclined i do feel your energy always residing next to me.

Only that as i read in these testimonials, i realised how true it was...that an artist should practise and focus on creation n creating, and let someone else do the business. I completely know what that means. As for the last 3 years, i'm my own manager, PR, business devlopment officer, advertising agency and what not. It is always better to work as a team and be fruitful to eachothers contribution to this world. It helps. It works for both categories art & business and creates opportunity of work for many. I hope with you and WAF i could contribute my share to this world of art. I have dedicated myself over 13yrs now calling it my karma and also my wife that i married to :).

I just was waiting for this to happen. I had once read about the Grand Salon of Art in the 16th, 17th or 18th century and was inspired by the scale that took me in that time when i was reading about great masters n their biography 13yrs back when i was in the art school. That had inspired me then to create and direct a 2 hour theatrical play simply inspired by the painting titled ' The Absinthe Drinker' by Edgar Degas...it pushed on a path towards becoming a great master someday which i still follow with undivided attention. It is not practical to live with this madness in todays times, causes a lot of suffering and sacrifice for an artist and his loved ones...but i did.

Today i feel i am closer to that wish i think. After years of seeing art n being the biggest critic for self growth and education to be a self taught perfectionist that i am today, as recognised by my peers...Michael Cheval's work really captured my attention. And just to understand him more i was led to the WAF and you.

Its a very big news for me to be a part of WAF & WAE in June 2009 and may go in the history for artist like me and others.
I speak as an Indian artist now an artist of the world because of WAF, that i wish you and this foundation the very best of my wishes and blessings of my peers and elders to become the biggest foundations of this century. We will grow together. I will support you till the end...as this is where i begin.

God Bless you Antoine, my soul brother...for i wish to see you soon for the Expo.

Love & warm regards,

Pranaay Katke

I and others appreciate all that you do. May I remind you.....these are strange times. Politically, and spiritually.  In the political arena, hate statements, not heard in public before, to my knowledge, with such vehemence, is a startling and unacceptable practice. It appears that segments of the USA populace have lost its integrity, as a voice of angry people has emerged full force.

Perhaps it is the same in the art world. There are always 'jealous' persons hiding somewhere waiting to strike out. These people , politically , and creatively, have a weakness. That weakness feels that if another has good, then there is not enough for 'the me'...if another does good, then 'the me' does not. If one or more are exhibiting in a venue and 'the me' is notgood, then 'the me' does not. If one or more are exhibiting in a venue and 'the me' is not included, the weak insecurity erupts and thrashes out.  The truth of all of us as one has a cloud over it.

I believe that the dark residue has to come to the surface to be eliminated, evaporated, in order for us to know peace in all forms, creativity without limits. We are here to assist each other in evolvement, to whatever form that means in the pursuit of excellence.

You have done that, you are doing that, and we are most appreciative. We all know the time you and your family have spent reaching out to us, helping us. The swift way to which you and Satchin formed out individual web sites, is one example of caring.

 Love and blessings,with supreme gratitude,

Greetings

If you respond to those that are against you they get all the attention they want to. If WAF doesn’t write any word about them they will be nobody. In Sweden we use to say: Don't feed the trolls. The world of internet is very small but is also a world of people that are just names in the middle of millions of voices. Those trolls need attention to survive. Without attention they will be forgotten names in the ocean.

As I wrote, many people might not understand your visions and many might be afraid of what’s going on. Most peole disregard these negative people   But there are few that are alwasy afraid and the trolls use them to their own interests.
These people ar insificant as they are alwasy dependant on fear and negativity to servive. They have nothing else of consequence in their life.

I have followed WAF for a long time now and I have seen that it is mostly the same people that work so hard to destroy it.  My opinion is that they are very egocentric people who don't think or care about those artists that actually get so much help from WAF. If they are so irritated with WAF why do they spend so much energy on WAF?

My advice is: stop writing any words any more about those that complain. Take away all this negativity that they share. They don't represent but very few artists in the world. You and your organization are fighting to realize a vision that can benefit so many.

It's not easy to make a change in the world of today. Sometimes I wonder if those great  visionaries and scientists of yesteryears  lived in today’s world would they have had the same possibility to actually do what they have done for the world, because so many are nearly slave in their own fair.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I appreciate what you and your family have done for artists and the unique opportunity you give us to be ourselves outside of the dog-eat-dog that the art world is. I personally couldn't bother to take place in it.  The only reason for me joining your organization is because you give something different, authentic and inspiring. When people do things differently than others they are the target of attacks well below the waist. This should never be a reason to give up and feel you are wasting your time.  And I support you 100% Agnes Vermorel

I was part of the World Art Expo 09 ... i was there for 5 days ... had great time and met wonderful people ... Please continue what you are doing, even if people are not answering. Have faith, believe, there are so many artist who need the support. and help that you provide. So many who have talent and give up and are bitter and broken at the end. Art isn’t about numbers and money. It is about creating. You say that your efforts are rewarded and that you have helped many people achieve goals that probably would have been very difficult to achieve otherwise. Look at those results. …

Think of this, what if what you have spent your time creating nurtures the likes of extraordinary gifts like Michelangelo. What if without you one special artist would never reach his or her artistic greatness because you had decided that numbers are more important than people and talent and art.

This  is a time to ground in your beliefs and hold your ground. You where not wrong and giving weight to the news is disrespecting your efforts and the people you have already helped and the countless that will benefit from your efforts. Is it more important to have millions of mediocre artists or the cream of the crop and a stellar reputation?  Please, continue and count your blessings. With kindness and respect, Jade Hullen

Fifi's Best "Restaurateur Louis Laulhere Found His Way to OC Gradually"

Louis Laulhere is a person who has lived his life with a great deal of grace. When one speaks of a kind heart, his name comes to mind for me. It’s as if he was born to be in the restaurant industry, the service enterprise that begs like no other for people with the right attitude.

Louis was born in a small village named Pau in the southwest of France. He had his first encounter with commercial food world at the age of 13 when he went to work carrying bags of flour for the local baker, he became a kitchen helper at the Hotel de France in his hometown, and then, not long after that a busboy. He admits to feeling at home in the service profession almost immediately.

The next step was working at the Grand Hotel in Eastbourne, England. Louis felt at home and couldn’t imagine doing anything else. He and a good friend decided to go to Canada. Landing in Montreal with only a few dollars in his pocket, he found a job in one of the upscale hotels

He stayed in Canada until 1960, the year he went to New York, a city with plenty of French restaurants.  He then worked for Management Company for 13 years in New York and then transferred to Chicago to take on the task of directing all food operations at the John Hancook Center

After several years in Chicago, he moved to Las Vegas as vice president and manager of all food service at the convention center. He stayed a couple of years before being tapped to create a fine French restaurant in the new, prestigious Adolphus Hotel in Dallas, Texas. The result was The French Room. It was the restaurant that launched Dallas as a serious culinary city.

Everybody eventually visits California, don’t they? He did and met the Segerstroms, who introduced him to La Vie En Rose in Brea, the restaurant they’d built as a replica of a Normandy style farmhouse. Given his farm background and the comforting ambiance of this building, Louis knew he had walked into his dream. This was exactly the kind of restaurant he’d envisioned owning one day. The Segerstroms sold the restaurant to Louis and that is when I met him.
